Continuing on with Part 3.
8. Post Once Everywhere
If you’re managing multiple social media platforms where you’re posting the same content, it’s a chore logging into each and posting. But there are automation programs that can do it for you.
Social media dashboards and similar programs allow you to post once to all of your social media platforms. Customization options allow you to choose which social media sites you post to.
Dashboard programs can automate other aspects of your social media marketing as well, helping with things like analytics and follower engagement.
Some tools are Post Planner, Buffer, and Hootsuite.
9. “Thank You” Messages
Whenever someone signs up for your list, likes you on social media, buys something from you, refers a new lead to you, etc., you should always send them a “thank you” message. This is a very simple thing that goes a long way in building a relationship with your customers.
It’s even simpler if you do it through automation. There are many different ways to automate your “thank you” message. You can send a “thank you” as your first email marketing message to new sign-ups, giving them a quick thanks and a reminder of the value they’re going to receive through your list.
The e-commerce platform you’re using will probably offer an automated message like the confirmation message that goes out immediately post-purchase telling them simply “thank you.”
10. Manage Your Content
An essential automation tool to help with content creation, management and publishing is the CMS, or “content management system.” This is a system that allows you to create, organize, categorize, edit and publish content.
CMSs offer a great number of different automation options. For example, you can automate content publishing so that you can publish on a regular schedule without doing the work yourself. In addition to automation and organizational tools, a CMS helps you easily manage a team in one easy place.
The best example of a content management system is WordPress.
11. Automate Your Outsourcing
If you need to hire a team of outsourced workers, this can be quite a headache. It’s difficult to locate freelancers for each task you need, contact them, manage hiring paperwork, and manage workflow. Outsourcing can become an entire job by itself. But there are ways to automate the process through freelancer websites.
Freelancer websites are sites where freelance service providers create profiles and search for jobs. Various aspects of the workflow are managed through the site, including guarantees and escrow for payment.
Hiring freelancers through freelance websites takes some work on your part, but the automation features the sites offer makes it much easier and smoother than hiring virtual workers on your own. Upwork is an example of a freelancer website.

Here are the topics we’ll cover in each major section of the guide:
Module 1: Introduction – How Automation Helps Your Online Marketing
We’ll start by discussing the meaning of the term ‘marketing automation’ and all the benefits for your business. The biggest benefit is usually time, but you might be surprised at some of the others.
Module 2: What is the Goal of Your Marketing Automation Strategy?
In order to create an automation strategy, you need to understand what you hope to accomplish first. In Module 2, we’ll look at different types of goals you might want to achieve and how they line up with your sales process.
Module 3: Social Media Automation
Social media can be one of your biggest time drains, sometimes with the lowest ROI. In Module 3, we’ll look at how you can cut the time you spend on social sites, automate different aspects, but still keep your social media marketing highly personal.
Module 4: Email Marketing Automation
Email is the heart and soul of many businesses, especially when it comes to developing relationships with both leads and customers. In Module 4, you’ll see how you can automate many aspects of email marketing so that you do a better job of converting leads to customers and retaining the customers you already have.
Module 5: Content Marketing Automation
Content creation is something that’s often pushed to the side because you ‘don’t have enough time’, but content marketing is also a key part of building your credibility online. In Module 5, we’ll be looking at both ways to automate some of the marketing side of content, as well as tools that will speed up your content creation.
Module 6: Customer Follow-Up Automation
Your current customers are your best source of repeat sales and additional revenue, but you’re probably not taking advantage of all the automation available for making this happen.
