Today’s episode wraps up with How to Automate Your Online Marketing – Part 4.
In this episode, we are wrapping up this month’s theme of automating your online marketing.
I am Lisa Wells, your Virtual Assistant Trainer.
In the past few videos, I’ve shown you how automating your online marketing and how you can automate everything from checking your work to sending out reminders. There are so many tools you can use to save you time, energy, and money. But best of all, you are building trust and building relationships with your subscribers, clients, customers, prospects, and team.
Wrapping up with Part 4.
12. Give Webinars
A webinar is an online seminar. Instead of meeting physically someplace offline, you can “meet” online with attendees from all over the world. Webinars can be recorded as well and used for content marketing.
Nearly every aspect of holding a webinar can be automated. You need some type of automation to hold a webinar in the first place. Automated programs can handle things like webinar registration, promoting your webinar, sending reminders, and special features you can use during the webinar.
Zoom and GoToMeeting are two popular options.
13. Automated Payments
If you’re selling online, there’s never any reason you have to take customer orders manually. Payment automation is how most payments are done online.
Users simply log in to the system or scan a QR code and then payment is automatically transferred to their account.
Automated shopping carts are used by e-commerce stores large and small, from e-commerce giant Amazon to the very smallest online stores. The shopping cart allows the customer to add items, remove items and manage quantities themselves, and then pay when they’re ready to check out.
VA Business Builder Boutique uses Woocommerce for its ecommerce capabilities. Not that hard to set up and the cost is minimal.
14. Landing Pages
A landing page is a webpage for generating leads that’s set up so that it runs completely on autopilot. It is a simple page that has a sign-up form to enter an email address and other contact details. There’s usually a free gift as an enticement for visitors to sign up. People are reluctant to give out their names and email addresses, so the freebie gives the visitor an incentive.
Once your landing page has been created and published, you have to drive traffic to it. But once you’ve laid the groundwork, the page does the rest for you. Landing page visitors sign up and download the freebie without you having to do anything at all.
LeadPages is a landing page builder, but you can easily use Divi or other page builders to accomplish the same thing.
15. Talk, Don’t Type
If your typing skills aren’t up to par or you consider writing content a drag on your time, you can speed up the process by using a voice recognition software program. This is an automated program that types as you talk. You open the program and start speaking; the program will do the rest.
Voice recognition programs take some training before they work smoothly, and there is also some editing to be done after the text is written. But voice recognition can save you a great deal of time if you prefer to think out loud or you can’t type quickly. You can simply create a basic outline of what you want to cover in the article or blog post, and talk from point to point, going back later to edit and clean up.
Google “voice to text” for suggested programs, tools, and apps.

Here are the topics we’ll cover in each major section of the guide:
Module 1: Introduction – How Automation Helps Your Online Marketing
We’ll start by discussing the meaning of the term ‘marketing automation’ and all the benefits for your business. The biggest benefit is usually time, but you might be surprised at some of the others.
Module 2: What is the Goal of Your Marketing Automation Strategy?
In order to create an automation strategy, you need to understand what you hope to accomplish first. In Module 2, we’ll look at different types of goals you might want to achieve and how they line up with your sales process.
Module 3: Social Media Automation
Social media can be one of your biggest time drains, sometimes with the lowest ROI. In Module 3, we’ll look at how you can cut the time you spend on social sites, automate different aspects, but still keep your social media marketing highly personal.

Email is the heart and soul of many businesses, especially when it comes to developing relationships with both leads and customers. Module 5: Content Marketing Automation
Content creation is something that’s often pushed to the side because you ‘don’t have enough time’, but content marketing is also a key part of building your credibility online. In Module 5, we’ll be looking at both ways to automate some of the marketing side of content, as well as tools that will speed up your content creation.
